Energy Leadership: Integrating Policies Across Sectors

Commissioner Catherine Sandoval of the California Public Utilities Commission will discuss her approach to energy utility regulation and key energy issues facing California after the retirement of the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant. She will focus on the nexus between Electricity & Natural Gas, Water & Energy, and Telecommunications Access & Adoption and Energy. Her regulatory approach breaks through technical and program silos and focuses on communities. She will discuss the need for a synergistic approach to integrate renewable resources and ensure safe, reliable utility service at just and reasonable rates, consistent with California law.
