Community Programs Committee
The CCE Community Programs Committee develops new initiatives, stewards ongoing programs, and coordinates efforts across the Division and the Institute to create a culture of belonging in CCE. In supporting these programs, we seek to promote a welcoming community and nurturing atmosphere for everyone regardless of their background.

Student Organizations
The mission of the Caltech Women in Chemistry Committee is to support graduate students and postdoctoral researchers in chemistry and related sciences, with an emphasis on professional development and career networking. This organization is open to all Caltech community members.
BOND aims to facilitate and embolden discussions on fairness in science and provide a space for students from different backgrounds to discuss issues and share ideas to advance our Division and create a safer and more inclusive community.

Support CCE Community Programs
The Division of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Caltech is committed to building an inclusive research community and where all members thrive and succeed. We welcome philanthropic funds to support our mission and programming.
*Donors have the ability to philanthropically support specific activities if interested. This list is not limited to the specific activities identified below.
- Supports faculty and student activities, including conference registration and travel fees, college outreach visits, campus-based student events.
- Supports special seminar speakers invited by the community programs committee or related committees.
- Provides funds for informational and recruiting events for prospectiveCCE students.
- Provides funds for CCE Community Program Coordinators activities.
- Provide ongoing support for BOND activities, including community outreach, in-person social events, hosting invited speaker(s).
- Provide funds for the biannual Day of Inclusion event.
The Community Programs Awards recognize CCE students, post-doctoral researchers, and staff members for their efforts related to community building, outreach, and fostering an inclusive culture in CCE. Nominations are solicited from faculty members, peers, and by self-nomination.
- Provides funding for visiting faculty in residence. This program seeks to host visiting faculty who, through their personal and professional interactions with CCE faculty and students, will enhance the community during their stay.
- Funds can provide stipend, travel, and housing.
- Visiting faculty will give one technical lecture and one public lecture during their stay.
- Length of stay can range from 3 – 6 months.
