A Conversation with Bill Gates

About the Talk

Climate change is one of humanity's greatest scientific and engineering challenges—addressing it is an opportunity to design a future in which people everywhere can thrive. In this talk, Bill Gates shares his perspective on how the world can advance meaningful climate progress while keeping human welfare at the heart of the effort. As nations face competing priorities and finite budgets, Gates highlights the need to invest in innovation that makes clean energy affordable, and in development "best buys," such as climate-smart agriculture, that reduce poverty, strengthen health, and help communities adapt and prosper in a warming world. For the Caltech community, it's an invitation to hear how science and ingenuity can drive the breakthroughs a sustainable future demands.
