CCE Seminar Day
12th annual CCE Seminar Day will be held on Friday, September 23rd.
Every fall, CCE presents a student and postdoc Seminar Day. This event is organized by CCE graduate students and provides an opportunity for graduate students and postdocs to present their work to the division though research talks and presentations throughout the day. Seminar Day allows students to enhance their presentation skills, learn about the research occurring across the various sub-fields, and provides a division-wide sense of community. Speakers are selected from faculty and student nominations with priority given to faculty nominations.
What to expect:
A full day of short 15 minute research talks given by graduate students and postdocs plus a division-wide poster session and social at the end of the day. This is a great opportunity for members of the division to present their research to their peers and to continue building community across the division! Prizes will be awarded to speakers based on voting from attendees!
Graduate students and postdoctoral scholars will present short talks from 9:00–4:00 PM, followed by a poster session at 4:30 PM. A boxed lunch will be served at noon from Schlinger Courtyard for registered attendees–if you have not yet registered, there's still time to do so here.
Talks will be held in-person in 153 Noyes. As in previous years, speaker prizes will be awarded by popular vote. Links to the ballot will be distributed at the beginning of each session.
The poster session will be held at Dabney Gardens. Two poster prizes will be awarded by faculty judges. This year, we're also introducing a People's Choice prize! One outstanding poster presenter will receive a prize awarded by popular vote.
