Barbara Burger Fellowship and Prize

Barbara J. Burger Graduate Fellowship

Awarding preference shall be given to a female Chemistry graduate student in at least her fourth-year with interest in pursuing a career outside of academia.  The fellowship will cover a portion of the awardee's stipend and tuition but may vary from year to year. 

Barbara J. Burger Prize

To provide a $3.5K prize supporting research-related expenses incurred by the Barbara J. Burger Graduate Fellowship awardee (Chemistry graduate student in at least her fourth-year with interest in pursuing a career outside of academia). Such expenses may include, but are not limited to, the student's travel to visit companies, industry conferences, recruiting events, internships, research materials and supplies, and/or other related costs. 

The request for faculty nominations will be sent out late August or early September 2023.
