WHY: Find out about new efforts underway to improve undergraduate chemistry programs nationally and see examples of course and curriculum transformations at peer institutions.
 
 
Dr. Gabriela Weaver earned a BS in Chemistry at Caltech (1989) and went on to a PhD in Chemical Physics at the University of Colorado Boulder, professorships in Chemistry at Purdue and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and extensive work redesigning and researching chemistry and STEM education at all levels through her work as Director of the Discovery Learning Research Center at Purdue, and now as Vice Provost and Director of the Center for Teaching and Faculty Development at U. Mass., Amherst. She has recently submitted manuscript for a book entitled Transforming Institutions: 21st Century Undergraduate STEM Education, to be published in May by the Purdue University Press.
