Deep Learning in Unconventional Domains: Applications to Databases and Tabular Data

Deep learning progress has been concentrated in the domains of computer vision, vision-based reinforcement learning, and natural language processing.  This thesis defense will present work on adapting deep learning to new domains.  The focus will be on new deep learning methods for relational databases and tabular data.
