between chemistry and biology is one of the most exciting of modern
science. Ever since Linus Pauling essentially invented the field, Caltech
has been very strong at this interface, and it is more true now than
ever. Research opportunities span the full range from highly chemical
studies that model or have implications for biological systems, to detailed
studies of complex systems in living organisms, but always directed
toward a molecular-scale understanding. |
